5 Quick and Easy Ways To Make Your Blog More Personal.

If you're writing a personal blog I believe that one of the many challenges (yes, there are a lot of challenges in this path !) is to make your template look little bit more you so it'll reflect more of your personality. If you're using the Blogger platform (like me) or Wordpress (like other bloggers out there) they will give you some staple template options for you to choose and after you go from there.

I've already done many tutorials of some tips and tricks that you can implement on your blog to spice things up here and there but in today's post I'm gonna gather up 5 easy fixes that you can try out right on your blog if you've just began blogging to motivate you a little and to help you show more of you're personality and what you're blog is all about to your readers.

This post is kind of a sequel to a previous one called "5 Reasons To Start Blogging" in which I tried to motivate some of you guys that needed a little push to start your own blog so in case any of you actually started blogging around that time I hope today's post helps you out in the begging of this journey and keeps you more excited about it.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about you should check out one of my previous posts where I not only explain you what a Favicon is but I also teach you how to make your own.

This is such a small change but I think it makes a big difference. It makes your blog looks more professional, more personal and also more beautiful 'cause I don't know about you guys but I can't stand that orange B from Blogger.

2. Personalized Signature
I know you can always write you name at the end of each post and call it a day but in my opinion a personalized signature makes all the difference. It gives a specially touch and also another cute thing to look at it.

There are a couple of different ways you can do this. First you're gonna have to go to a website or Photoshop and design your signature. I personally use PicMonkey to do all of my photo editing stuff but there are other options like Canva and many more.. You just need to find one that you're comfortable with.

And then after you did whatever you want with your signature you just make sure you save it in a transparent background and post the picture of you signature at the end of each post. I prefer to do it that way because I like to change my signature a lot and make it more festive according to the holidays but if you're looking for something more permanent you can check out this link and it'll take you to a super quick and easy tutorial.

3. Social Media To The Rescue
Let's face it.. Social media is a big part of blogging and if you want your blog to be recognized nowadays you need to use Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and all that jazz. You can always put the links to your social platforms at the end of each post but to make it look cuter and more appealing to the readers you can display them in icons on your sidebar or wherever you feel like it.

I already explained how to do it in a previous post so if you're interest in implementing this on your blog you can just go over to this post and I'lltake you step by step.

4. Personalized Profile Picture

I know that Blogger already offers you a profile gadget but I wanted something different, cuter and more original. I think this is the easiest thing to do on this list and you'll be done in literally 5 or 6 minutes. Just go over to PicMonkey and edit your profile picture.. You make it a circle, a square, a heart, add greetings like I did or just edit some stuff out.

When you're done just go over to PhotoBucket, upload your picture and get the "Direct Link" to the picture and replace it on the code below and after you just put it whenever you feel like it in your layout using the HTML gadget.

5. Banner

Your banner is the first thing people see when they visit your blog so you should make it accordingly to your blog theme, because it just looks odd if you're starting a cooking blog and you banner has a lot of makeup items.. It makes people confused.

Making a banner is also very easy and I'll recommend using PicMonkey again (no, they don't pay me to recommend their website but they totally should). They only thing you need to pay close attention to is the size of it because you want it to fit nicely on your blog template. So just go Blogger>Customize>Adjust Width and get the exact dimensions of your blog and after you can just have fun exploring your creativity.

I believe that a cute and creative banner makes all the difference in the world and it only takes a couple of minutes to make. You can always just right something creative and put a picture on the background but it's just not the same thing..

Have you recently started a blog ? Did you like the tips ?
If you get the chance to use any of the tips I've mentioned please let me know on the comments so I can go and check out your blog.

I hope this post was helpful to some of you.
