HUGE Monthly Empties | September, 2015.

As promised, today is Saturday and I'm here with a new post for you guys. Like I say in almost every video, I've been trying really hard to go through products to make sure that everything is being used and nothing gets expired. I've come to a point where I feel like I have multiples of everything and all this stuff is giving me a little anxiety because I feel like I'm wasting money since I won't be able to finish everything.

For all the reasons above, expect more empties posts in the near future. I'm also currently on a "no buy" until my upcoming trip to the US so the only option I have at the moment is to use what I currently have which is good for my wallet and it also helps me to rediscover products in my collection.

Just one more thing before we get to the empties, I just wanted to say that I've been working on these products for months now and they happened to finish this month. I didn't use them up from start to finish is September. So this was a long introduction to my empties post but if you're still interested just keep reading.
Dove Nutrium Moisture Body Wash for Sensible Skin.

Love, love, love. I don't believe I ever found a Dove product that didn't work for me and this one was no different. I love their body washes because they are super moisturizing, they don't leave your skin feeling greasy and they smell amazing.

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser.

I also love everything Cetaphil. I don't know if this happens to any of you guys and if it does please leave me a comment telling me about it but there are certain brands that are a perfect fit for me. I love their facial cleansers and moisturizers.

Having said that, I don't typically buy face washes because I feel like I don't need them. I can get away with washing my face with the Dove Beauty Bars or other bar soaps. I remember I got this specifically for traveling and for that purpose I really liked it.

Aussie Split-End Protector.

This was OK. It was one of those products that you don't actually see results but you hope it's doing something for your hair. I remember I got this at a time where my split-ends were horrible and I think it helped a little although I would not repurchase it in the future.

TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shampoo.

I know a lot of Keratin is not good for your hair but I really liked this shampoo. I didn't use it every time I washed my hair because I think that it could have the opposite effect and actually make your hair brake. But as an alternating shampoo it worked super well and I would repurchase.

Dove Dermoaclarant Deodorant.

This deodorant claims to make the color of your armpit area lighter. To be honest, I didn't see a difference but the deodorant itself wasn't bad. I like the scent and the formula but I was a little upset because I didn't see a difference at all in terms of making my skin lighter.

Bath & Body Works Hand Sanitizer in Winter Candy Apple.

I have billions of hand sanitizer and I cannot explain how happy I am to see this one go because they take AGES to use up. And I use them quite often, two to three times a day when I leave the house. I wasn't crazy about the scent, it was a little too strong and intense for my taste.

Acetone.

I literally have one Acetone bottle in every empty post I make. I love acetone. It's the only thing I use to remove nail polish because it's super fast, effective and cheap. I'm not picky with the brand and usually get the cheapest one at the drugstore.

Essence Stay Natural Concealer in Soft Nude (03).

I originally bought this to balance a very dark concealer I have from MAC that I wanted to use up and it did an amazing job for that purpose. It was super bright and made me look more awake and whatnot but the amount of product you get is ridiculous. I used this up in three weeks.. THREE weeks. I like to finish up products but this was a little too extreme.

TRESemmé Moisture Rich Leave-in Conditioner.

I always like to apply some sort of leave-in treatment to my hair just to help with frizz and make it easier to brush. This was an OK product. I didn't see any visible results in terms of moisture but it did make my hair super easy to brush and it helped with the frizz. I would repurchase it if I ever needed a new leave-in treatment but it wasn't life changing.

Victoria's Secret Refreshing Body Mist in Amber Romance.

If you have one of those body mists you know how hard it is to finish one and this month I was able to finish two of them. But we'll get to the second one in a while. I'm a big fan of these and I still have 5 or 6 to go through. I sprayed this everywhere and multiple times a day in my body and it still took me 6 months to finish it.

I've sprayed this so many times because it doesn't have a very strong staying power but I it's one of the reasons why I love these things so much. It's the perfect everyday scent, not super strong and not super light, and it's super cheap (if you buy it on sale or on their outlet stores). I love this specific scent and I would repurchase it if I ever found myself without body mists.

Bath & Body Works Fragrance Mist in Be Enchanted.

I think this is my favorite BBW scent. Just like the previous one, this didn't have a very strong staying power but I really liked it. I still have another Be Enchanted mist to go through and when I finish that one I will repurchase this scent in some kind of product.. Maybe not a fragrance mist but a lotion or body cream.

Essence Match2Cover Cream Concealer.

Another Essence concealer and just like the previous I loved it. I prefer this one because it had two different shades, a darker one and a lighter one, so I could mix and match them. I don't really remember how much I paid but I know it was super inexpensive. The only bad thing I have to say about this one is that it did crease, a lot. If you're planning on buying it make sure you have a good under eye setting powder.

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisturizing Conditioner.

I love Herbal Essence. They just started selling their products here in Brazil and I could not be happier. This coconut scent is my favorite and it kind of smells like the Aussie products. It leaves my hair super smooth and manageable without leaving any residue or a greasy feeling.

Victoria's Secret So Sexy Straight & Silky Shampoo.

I've had this for ages so I'm pretty sure that it went bad and that's why I wasn't feeling it anymore. It was doing weird stuff to my hair and making it curly.. I've never had curly hair in my life. But when I got this I remember it was very good but I also remember it was one the pricier side and that's probably why I wouldn't repurchase it. I have cheaper alternatives like Herbal Essence, Dove and TRESemm√© that work amazing on my hair for half the price.

Dove Nutrium Moisture Body Wash.

I have no idea why I put two Dove Body Washes in different pictures but anyway.. I love this one just like the other. I would repurchase both of them and I'm currently going through another one just like this.

And that's a wrap! I had no idea I had so many empties this month. I hope you liked the post and found it interesting. I always try to be as helpful as I can with the mini reviews in case some of you were considering buying a certain product that I mentioned.

Did you finish a lot of products this month?

Thanks so much for stopping by and come back soon!

Links I'm Loving This Week.

source
It's only Thursday and my life is already a complete mess. Seriously, I need to take the class How To Manage Your Life 101 and I need it now. I'm thinking about doing another Life Update post but I don't really know how many people would actually be interested in my life's chaos. I'll probably do it anyway.. But this is a topic for another post and today we're to talk about cool and fun stuff that I found on the internet.

I've actually been sick for the past 4 days (food poising from hell) so I've got plenty to share since my last days have been a mixture of Netflix and online browsing. Are you ready? Let's go!

Yes, you read it right! I was also shocked once I read the words "ice cream" and "healthy" in the same sentence. I found this recipe on Rachel's blog and it made me love it even more. The whole concept is quite simple, you just blend frozen bananas on a blender and that's it. I only tried it once and it turned out ok, but I think the trick is practice and once you get the hang of it it's very delicious.

I found out about this online store on YouTube a couple of days ago and I've been browsing and adding things to my cart ever since but I haven't bought anything yet. The cool thing about this store is that everything is ONE dollar. Yep, everything on that website is just one dollar. They also have a killer partnership tab that you can go check out if you're blogger or a vlogger of some sort.

I was going to do a separate post about this but I decided that not everybody might be interested in some of the details and if you're interested you can go check out their website and get the information directly from the source.
But Remote Year is basically a traveling/working program where you will travel throughout the world with a group of cool and interesting people. It's is not free of charge but it does sound like a lot of fun and I seriously considered doing it myself but I feel like I'm at that time of my life where I need to get my s#!t together and not pack my bags and travel the world.

Remember when I said I had to get my life together? So, this is me trying. I've been on a constant struggle this year to get more organized and to stay on top of things. These printable have really been helping me. I don't know about you guys, but I'm not the one to customize and put stickers on my daily planner (I have a life) so this is an easy way to make things a little more fun and colorful.

These are all the links I have for you guys today. I hope you enjoyed it and if you have the time make sure to check them out and let me know your thoughts in the comments. I read AND respond to all the comments. I love hearing your opinion about the blog and the things I've been posting.

Thanks so much for reading and I'll see you soon-ish!
(just kidding, next post is coming up on Saturday. I promise)

5 Shows You Should Watch On Netflix.

Source
I know I'm a little late to the party but we FINALLY got Netflix here in my house. I know I already mentioned it before but today's post is going to be solely dedicated to this amazing gift humanity has created. If you still do not have Netflix and you can't understand why everybody and their mother love it so much just get the 30 day free trial and see for yourself. And no, Netflix is not sponsoring me.. Although I really think they should (#pleasesponsormenetflix).

Since we got Netflix my life and my routine have been changed for the better.. My productivity levels have also changed but we're not gonna discuss this today. These past few days have been filled with binge watching and trying to catch up with all the series that me and Sebastian have started watching in the past.

So, the weekend is here already and I thought it would be appropriate to share with you guys some of the things we've been watching recently and you guys can also feel free to let us know in the comments some of the shows you've been watching too so we can all be lazy buns together.. Just on the weekends, on Monday we're back to our productivity game and ready to kick some ass.

Suits.
Ok, me and Sebastian are obsessed with this show. We've literally just finished watching two chapters in a roll. I said I needed a break before watching the nest one and that's why (among other reasons) I'm writing this post right now. But seriously, this show is AMAZING.

In "Suits", we follow the everyday life or a law firm in NYC and the ins and outs of their business. I know a lot of people who actually study law seem to love this show but little me over here who knows very little about legal stuff still loves it. The best thing for me is the fact that this is a "smart show" meaning they don't play with sex or stupid jokes just to get your attention and you don't feel your brain turning into smoosh just by watching it.. I don't know if that happens with a lot of people but if I watch more than one chapter of "Two And A Half Men" I feel my IQ is dropping a little - not saying that I've never done this, but I'm not proud of it..

House Of Cards.
A friend of mine actually recommend me this show and I don't know if I should thank her or terminate the friendship. This is a great show but I feel like I need to warn you that this is incredibly addicting. It's one of those shows that you just have to know what happens next and I'm not a very strong person when it comes to this.

This is a little different from "Suits" because it's about the backstage of politics in the US but the atmosphere is pretty much the same if you know what I mean. I believe that if you liked "Suits", "The Newsroom" or any other show that has a corporate/office vibe you're gonna enjoy this one.

The Walking Dead.
I have to admit that I wasn't a very big fan of this show in the beginning and I only kept watching it because Sebastian really liked it. I know this show is extremely popular so I'm not gonna discuss the whole premise of it here. I'm just gonna say that it's about zombies and zombies don't get me very excited.. They just don't have the same appeal as vampires in my opinion.

But, this show is good and I've been enjoying it more now.. It really grows on you. The characters are very well planned and as the story progress things get better and better. My only recommendation for this show is for you to give it a chance and don't give up on the first chapters because like I said, this show only gets better and better.

The 100th.
As I was doing my little research before writing this post, I found out that they've canceled it and that there's not going to be a second season but the first season is still on Netflix and I highly recommend watching it.. I have no idea why they canceled this show, it was really good.

We followed the lives of 100 "teenage"prisoners who were sent back to our planet to find out if Earth was still habitable after some sort of nuclear accident that supposedly killed all the humans. Obviously, the accident didn't kill all the humans and they're gonna run into more trouble and obstacle than they thought.

This show is a little bit like "Lost" (but not as good) in the sense that they thought they were alone in a place but weren't and now we see what happens, know what I mean ? And girl, this show offers some serious eye candy.. If you don't believe me just google Ricky Whittle.

Orange Is The New Black.
This is another show that has been all over the place and there's a reason why people love it so much.. It's incredibly funny. I haven't watched that many episodes but I've seen enough to keep going. I haven't been watching it religiously just because my current obsession is "Suits", but whenever I'm in the mood for comedy this is what I go for.

Modern Family.
This is the funniest show I've ever watched and I recommend it to everyone I know. I know "Modern Family" has been around for a while but every season it gets better and funnier and I never get tired of the characters. My favorite is Gloria.. Sofia Vergara is just amazing in every aspect. If you haven't watched this already please give it a go and you can thank me later.

So these are the shows we've been watching lately. I was going to mention Pretty Little Liars too but by now I think everyone who follows the blog already knows I'm obsessed with it and they are probably already tired of me talking about it too. I hope you guys enjoyed today's post and I also hope I didn't contribute to your binge watching.

One last thing before you go.. I just wanted to point out that Netflix is different in every country and since I obviously live in Brazil the shows available to me might not be available to you and vice-versa. So please don't take it out on me if something like this happens.. At the end of he day you can always find everything online nowadays.

Have you watched any of the shows mentioned?
Do you have Netflix? Do you love it?
What have you been watching lately?

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll talk to you soon.
