Links I'm Loving This Week | New Year's Edition.

Let's talk about important things first: Is it already time to take down the blog's holiday decorations? I really don't want because they look so cute and it took a lot of work to get them up but if you think it's time do let me know on the comments and I'll get on to it.

Now that we got that out of the way let's get to today's topic. It's been a while since I've done a Links I'm Loving but I wanted to so something different this time. I decided to do one related starting the year in the right mindset. I tried to get together some cool links to help you achieve your New Years resolutions and if you don't like resolutions I hope this links will help you be more organized and overall better yourself throughout this year. We have a mix of apps, YouTube channels and overall cool stuff from the interwebs!

To Do Ist: This is my favorite new app. Seriously. If you've been reading the blog for a while you know that since I graduated college I've been struggling with getting stuff done, motivation and all that not-so-good stuff. After doing a lot of research on that topic and trying out a lot of different things, I've stumbled upon this little app. It's nothing fancy but for a some reason it worked for me and I've been using it for month.

It's basically an "online to do list". You just log in over there and type in your errands for the day and as you get them done you just click in the little "check thingy" and it deletes it from the list. You can also schedule things to appear on your list everyday or every two days (how often you want) and, the best part for me, you can put the time you need to accomplish them so you're always on top of your things. I really liked it and I use it almost everyday - I give myself a little break on the weekends.

10 Tips For Decluterring: I think this is very fitting for this time of the year. We're almost in 2016 and what a better way to start new year than with a clutter-free organized house. I've seen a lot of videos like this one on YouTube, but, in my opinion, this is one of the best. I like the process she uses and the way she explains it. I haven't done a New Year Declutter yet but I fully intent on doing one.

Motivation Groundwork: I've discovered this channel yesterday and I've already watched more than 25 videos. I think this channel is target to people who just want to be better - more focused, organized and all that good stuff. In this video in particular he talks about finding motivation to study and to, overall, get stuff done! If you also struggle with motivation and focusing on the things you need to do, I highly recommend his videos.

Pop Sugar 2016 Ultimate Reading Challenge: I'm so excited to jump into this Reading Challenge. This year I only did the GoodReads challenge, in which you just set a number of books you'd like to read during the year and try to achieve and although I enjoyed it and it was super fun to push myself to read more, I want to try something new and branch out a little more. This Challenge includes categories such as "a book set in Europe" or "a book with a blue cover" and whatnot - I think this going to be super fun and I've seen a lot of bloggers and booktubers who tried last year's pop sugar reading challenge and really enjoyed it.

I'm planning on doing one more post before the end of the year, but if this is my last, I want to wish you all a Happy New Year and I hope you have a lot of fun celebrating the year to come. If you get the change to check out the links let me know your thoughts on the comments!

What do you usually do on New Years?
Did you like the links?

Thanks so much for reading!

ps: Tomorrow is my BIRTHDAY! YAY!

Top 5 Favorite Books I've Read In 2015.

Well, guys, I've done quite a lot of reading this year. So far I've read 64 books and I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty proud of myself. I've read some really bad books but I've also read amazing ones and today, like always, we're focusing on the positive side of things and I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorites.

I thought this would be a cool post to make because it's the end of the year and I know for a fact that a lot of people haven't finished their reading challenges yet and I'm here to help you out. If you've already finished your reading challenge (congrats!) you can take these books as recommendations and save them for next year. So now, I'm just going to scroll down my GoodReads page and pick out my favorite books!

Attachments by Rainbow Rowell: First I need to say that I love everything from Rainbow Rowell. I've read a lot of her books and they never let me down but this one was my favorite. It's such a cute story and it's written in a very different way, kind of like The Boy Next Door by Meg Cabot (another amazing book) - the author tells us the story through emails.

I don't want to give out any spoilers but it's basically about an IT guys whose job is to read the emails that get caught in a filter set in the company system to catch inappropriate emails sent between coworkers. And then, emails sent between two women that work there are constantly caught in the system and he actually falls for one of them just by reading their emails. I know this can sound kind of creepy in a stalk-ish way but it's not. It's actually quite romantic the way he falls in love with her personality first.

Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover: I think this is my favorite "book couple" ever. This is not just a book, it's an experience. The story is about a girl who had to leave her apartment and her neighbor who takes her in since she didn't have anywhere else to go. Their feeling towards each other grow as they start to write songs together since he's in a band and she's a great songwriter and the best part is that you can actually listed to this songs online - I told it's an experience. I loved seeing how their relationship grows more and more and how they overcome some of the obstacles in their way so they can be together.

I've actually already reviewed this book so if you're interested reading it you can click here and it'll take there in a second.

Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout: This is just the first book of the Covenant series and I have to say, I was not expecting to like it that much and I've read the entire thing - it's a total of 5 books I believe. The story revolves around a Alex and Aiden and their "forbidden love". They can't be together because he's a pure blood and she's a half-blood (hence the name of the book) and then the rest is history. It has a lot of Greek mythology going on since they're apparently descendant from the Gods and whatnot. I'm not doing it any justice but you should just give it a try and see if you like it. If the story is not something you might be interested in, read it anyway because Jennifer Armentrout's writing is amazing and she's incredibly funny.

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin: I think that this is one of those books that either you love it or you hate it and, obviously, I loved it. The story is very unique and I love the writing style - I read it in two days. The story is about a girl who has been on an accident and she starts believing that she is the one that made it all happen. She starts experiencing what she thinks are hallucinations and other symptoms for Post Traumatic Disorder (or something like that) until she meets a boy who makes her believe that could be more to it than just PTD.

I loved everything about this book. The writing, the romance and the premise. I really liked all the characters and all the turns and twists. This is the first book of the Mara Dyer series and I'm currently reading the last one. Just keep in mind that a lot of people get disappointed as the series goes one (not me) but they all seem to love the first book. So if you're at all interested, just pick up the first book and see if you like it.

You by Caroline Kepnes: I haven't finished this book completely (there's still 10 or 15 pages left) but I had to mention it in my top five of the year. This book is just so unique and I really love it. If I had to pick two words to describe it I'd choose: creepy and brilliant. The entire book is written through the perspective of a stalker, as if he's writing the book to the woman he is stalking and telling her their story through his point of view. I've never seen anything like this and I was hooked from the beginning.

It's also a little scary and it really made think twice about the things I post on the internet since the stalker basically figured out her entire life just by reading through her emails and the social media feed. This is an amazing read and I would recommend it to pretty much anyone who enjoys suspense or thriller novels.

These are all the books I'm mentioning today, guys! I hope you enjoyed the post and if you get a chance to check any of these books out please let know on the comments what you think of them. I also want to know you're top five picks of the year so if you did a blog post or a video about it let me know so I go check it out.

What are you favorite books you've read in 2015?
How is your reading challenge going?

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll talk to you soon!

Happy Holidays!

Heeeeeello, everyone!

I know today is Christmas Eve but since my life is going to be a complete chaos for the next two days I decided to login in here right now to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and if you don't celebrate Christmas I wish you a Very Happy insert Holiday name here. I hope you're all having a wonderful time filled with good food, family and a lot of love.

Use this time to remind yourself of what's really important and just be grateful for what you have in your life as of right now. I know it's very easy to get caught up in the presents and all the excessive things we do around this time of year and forget the real meaning behind all of it. Make sure your friends and family feel loved and cherished and be grateful to have them in your life.

As for me, there's going to be a big celebration here in my house. Today is also my mom's birthday and tomorrow is Christmas, obviously, so we're getting the entire family together in both days which, I'm not gonna lie, can be a bit overwhelming and a lot of work. I've spent this morning reading, helping my mom with the cooking and putting the final touches on our Christmas cookies. It was the first time me and my sister baked something together and it was super fun - We drank wine, listened to all of Spotify's Christmas playlists and finally put those cookie cutters to good use (I believe we got them last year).

I also want to take this time to thank you guys for coming along for this journey that blogging has been for me. I've had my ups and downs but I'm grateful for it all. It has been super fun and exciting to share pieces of my life with you guys and possibly even help some of you, even if it's just by providing you with laughter or something entertaining to read on your down time.

I know I write it in every single post, but I truly want to thank all of you for taking time out of your day to read my rambles. You have no idea how much it means that some people actually care enough to read what I have to say. I know I don't have a lot of readers but I am grateful for everyone of you, that's why I love it when you guys comment on the posts, that way I can put a face and a personality to the numbers.

As always, thanks so much for reading and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

My Favorite YouTube Vloggers!

Heeeello, friends!

Today's post is going to be a little laid back and very suited for this end of the year / holiday vibe. By now I believe almost everyone is already on Christmas Break or Winter Break or Summer Break (if you live in the South Hemisphere like me) and, if you're lucky , you're probably at home with your family relaxing and enjoying some quality time together. So, to help you out with the relaxing part of the Holiday season I thought it would be a good idea to share with you guys today some of my favorite people from YouTube.

If you've been reading the blog for a while you already know that I have tiny obsession with YouTube and that I spend waaay too much time watching videos over there. And one of my favorite things to watch, aside from beauty videos, is daily vlogs or just vlog channels in general. Maybe I'm just noisy and like to know what other people are doing with their lives, but it truly is entertaining - don't judge me before you've seen it for yourself.

These channels I'm mentioning today are my favorites but they're not the only ones I watch. If you'd like to see me talk about this more just say the word and I'll do it because I don't have friends in my life that enjoy YouTube as much as I do so it'd be nice to talk about it with people who understand that it's ok to watch people show their everyday lives on the internet.

I like these channels because they appear to be genuine and are really fun to watch. There are a lot of people who vlog and it looks like they're just putting on a show for the camera. I get that YouTube has become a job for a lot of people but if it doesn't seem true or real it looses the fun for me - If I wanted to watch a show I wouldn't be on YouTube.

That's it for today, folks! I hope you enjoyed the post and if you have time to check any of these channels out let me know on the comments what you think about them. Also, I hope you're all having a great time during the Holidays and that you spend some time with your family and friends - don't stay the entire day in your room watching YouTube videos!

Thanks so much for reading and come back soon!

Monthly Empties | December, 2015.

I'm here today with a long overdue empties post. Ever since I've started to live in a more minimalist way I've been really focusing on using up the products I already have and that made me collect a bunch of empties on a monthly basis. But, unfortunately, last month I wasn't able to make a November Empties because I was traveling and I also because I was super busy sorting things for next year since Sebastian is coming on January.

But this month things are back to normal. I'm off school and work so I'm going to have more free time to do some cool stuff over here. Today we're going to talk about some beauty trash and all the products I've menage to finish in November and December combined so get ready to see a loooooot of trash. I'm also including the products from my Project Pan. It's been so long since I've started that so I thought it would be better to just combine everything in one post.
TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shampoo: Well, if you couldn't tell by now, I'm a big fan of TRESemmé hair products. This was not my favorite one but it was still pretty good. My only problem with this is that it has Keratin in it and from what I've read on the internet too much Keratin is not very good for your hair. I had to alternate this one with the Repair and Strength one and I really liked the results. If you're looking for a good drugstore shampoo I would really recommend this one.

TRESemmé Smooth and Straight Conditioner: The Smooth and Straight is my favorite TRESemmé line of products. I would as far as saying that this is one of my favorite all time hair care line, including some high end ones. I just works with my hair type and it leave it straight, silky and incredibly shining. I love and I'll continue using it for the rest of my life. I'm not sponsored by TRESemmé in case you guys were wondering, I just really love it. But hey, TRESemmé, if you ever feel like sponsoring me just let me know and I'm positive we can work something out. #pleasesponsorme

L'OREAL Total Repair 5: Another favorite. Love this conditioner and will continue repurchasing also. It works wonderfully with my hair type and I don't have much else to say. I feel like with hair products you need to try it and see for yourself what works with your hair type. But I would recommend this one.

TRESemmé Repair and Strength Shampoo: I feel like shampoos don't make much of a difference in my hair but this one was ok from what I remembered. It smelled nice and made my hair clean, what else can you ask for? Oh, and it was also pretty affordable which is always a plus.

Bath and Body Works Body Lotion in "Be Enchanted": Favorite BBW scent of all time. The formula is not my favorite but I do like it, I get this mostly for the scent. I would repurchase it and I'm working on a Body Mist in this scent.

Bath and Body Works Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel in "All I Want is You": I loved this scent. If I can find it in a body lotion or a body mist or something I will definitely get it. When I had this on my hands people asked me (a couple of times, actually) what perfume I was wearing.. It's that good.

L'Occitane Hand Cream in "Fleur Chérie": I got this almost two years ago while I was studying in France and I'm very sad to see it go. I don't even know if you can still find this scent but if you do, I highly recommend it. This smells amazing and it did a great job at moisturizing without leaving my hands feeling greasy. I hate that feeling.

Dove Body Lotion in "Shea Butter and Warm Vanilla": I love Dove products and this one was no different. The scent was seriously incredible and it made my skin super soft. This is one of my favorite body lotions and I'll definitely repurchase it.

Secret Invisible Solid Deodorant in "Fresh Water Orchid": I love Secret deodorants and this scent was ok, not my favorite. I don't know what kind of magic they put in this deodorant but my armpits don't sweat for the entire day and I live in Brazil where it's sunny and warm all day everyday. My favorite scent of these is the Vanilla one but I can't find it anywhere. I think I'm going to buy it online when I run out of my current deodorant.

Bath and Body Works Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel in "Pink SugarPlum": I think I still have a thousand of these left. I believe I've got 24 of these once when they were having a huge sale and I've been trying to go through them ever since (it's been a couple of years). I'm not a big fan of this scent in particular but it was ok while it lasted.

Johnson's Baby Wipes: I use this for everything. Spot cleaning my brushes, wiping my counters after I've done my makeup and even cleaning my desk sometimes. I've tried using this to take off my makeup but they're just not wet enough but when I'm lazy I apply some Bioderma in them and they do a pretty good job.

Dove Original Beauty Cream Bar: Ever since I've stopped using face washes I've been using this to wash my face every morning and before I go to sleep and I love it. It's super moisturizing in a not-oily way, it removes everything from my face without stripping it and it's waaay cheaper. I'm just not a big fan of face washes because I feel like they don't do anything for my skin that the beauty bar wouldn't. I do however enjoy face scrubs occasional.

This is it for my Empties, guys. I hope you enjoyed today's post. I told you it was a big one but keep in mind that this is two months combined and that I've been working on these products for a looong looong time. Let me know on the comments any thoughts, opinions or suggestions you might have for me. I love hearing from you guys and your opinions on the blog and everything else.

Did you finish a lot of products this month?
Are you on Christmas break?

Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Holidays!

Christmas All Over Again.

Heeeeeello, peeps!

Today I decided to do something a little different. Since I'm every much into the Christmas spirit I wanted to share with you some of my christmassy picks, like my favorite movies, songs and all that good stuff. But since I've already  done all of these before, I thought it would be best to just link up my previous posts from last year and if you're interested in the topics you can just click on the links and it'll take you right back there so you can read them.

I know this sounds kind of lazy but it's not. My favorite Christmas movies and songs don't change from year to year so if you're interested in checking them out you can go back over there and see for yourself. I'm also sharing in this post all my past Christmas posts, so you can consider this a Links I'm Loving From My Own Blog. If you're interested in browsing through the Christmas section of the Let Me Cross Over archive, just keep reading!

My Favorite Christmas Songs: I stand by all of my picks from last year, but I just wanted to add in Winter Wonderland and Holly Jolly Christmas, specially the Michael Bublé versions. Actually, if you're looking for a good Christmas album to listen to this season, Micheal Bublé is your guy. His is voice is just amazing and something about it just sounds like Christmas.

Christmas is also the time when Mariah Carey shines. Isn't it weird that this woman is gone for most of the year and only shows her face on Christmas? But anyway, her albums is also awesome and I believe that you can find it on Spotify, if I'm not mistaken.

My Favorite Christmas Movies: I would also like to add something else in the movies category. I cannot believe I forgot to mention "The Holiday". I looooove this movie so much, specially the whole exchanging house thing. It's such a fun little romantic comedy and it always puts me in a good mood when I watch it. If you haven't watched it yet, you definitely should.

Christmas In Rome: This post is about my 2013 Christmas but I wrote it last year so it's as old as you'd think. I love rereading it because it brings back so many amazing memories. In 2013 I spent Christmas in Rome during my exchange program in France because everyone was traveling for the Holiday, so me and my friends decided to spend it in Rome and it was absolutely beautiful. So, if you'd like to know how everything went down and see a lot of beautiful pictures you should go check it out.

That's all for today, guys! I hope you liked this post and all the links I've mentioned. Next post is going to be my Christmas Wishlist so if you're reading this and you're related to me somehow or my close friend you should pay close attention to that one. I'm so excited to be doing all this Christmas posts over here and I hope you're enjoying them to. I tried to do blogmas but I just didn't have time and energy to keep going, it really is a commitment.

What are you most excited about for Christmas?
In my case it's the food.

Thanks so much for reading and Happy Holidays!

Links I'm Loving - HOLIDAY EDITION!

CHRISTMAS IS ALMOST HERE! Needless to say, this is my favorite time of the year. So in honor of that I thought it would be a good idea to to put together some cool links that will get you in the holiday spirit and will also help you out with some of the holiday-stress (choosing gifts, wrapping gifts.. and all that jazz). Guys, this it it. It's the moment we all have been waiting for.. It's time to be happy, forget about your worries, focus on the jingle season, eat all the Holiday food your stomach can handle and watch every Christmas movie that appears on the TV.

Today I have for you guys the usual: a mix of videos, blog posts and random internet awesomeness. There are gift ideas, bookmas, vlogmas and some holiday movie recommendations. I hope this links help you get into the Holiday spirit and as excited for Christmas as I am.

I don't if you guys know this about me but I'm a huge fan of the BookTube community. So you can image my excitement when I discovered that Bookmas was a thing. For those of you who don't know, Bookmas is basically Vlogmas for the BookTube community. People put out one video a day until Christmas and in this case they are all related to books, so there are a bunch of book recommendations to get you in the Holiday mood and also a readthon or something along those lines. You should really check out Hailey's videos that's linked at the top and see for yourself.

Getting gifts for everyone during the Holidays can get pretty stressful. You don't always know what to give to everyone and there's also the money situation - Christmas is the most wonderful and expensive time of the year. So, although I've came across a bunch of videos like this one, I decided to choose my favorite because I didn't want to overwhelm you with gift ideas, but if any of you want more recommendations, just ask me on the comments and I be glad to give you more options.

This video gave me great ideas for inexpensive things to do on Christmas, like little goody bags, snowflakes decorations, cookies and a bunch of other cute stuff. I will definitely try out some of these ideas, specially the decorations and the goody bags for my friends.

I just love the Pioneer Woman, I know saying that makes me sound like I'm 50 years old and have three kids in high school but I don't care, I'm a big fan. And I'm not picking this recipe just because I love her, this is the easiest one me and my sister found on the internet. We tried one previously and the cookies tasted like feet. So I called Pioneer Woman to the rescue (I wish) and I found this recipe. She also explains it step by step on her website which makes it soooo much easier. You should totally give this a try and let me know how they turned out. And also, expect cute cookie pictures on all my social media feeds because I will be doing this again soon.

Netflix + Christmas = LOVE. Can you imagine anything better than lounging around, watching Netflix and eating Christmas cookies? I can't! And that's the only time of the year when it is socially acceptable to do that the entire day.But jokes aside, if you're looking for Christmas movies that list is the way to go. I've actually already started going through the list and watched Love Actually last night.

So these are all my links for today. I hope you guys like them and if you get the chance to check out any of them let me know on the comments what you thought. I love hearing from you guys!

Do you have any links to share? Are you doing vlogmas or blogmas?
What's your favorite Christmas treat?

Thanks so much for reading and I'll talk to you soon.
Happy Holidays!

The Tiniest Of Book Hauls.

Heeello, everyone!

This is going to be the first of many traveling hauls I'm going to be doing this month. I decided to start with the books because there's only four of them and also because I haven't talked about books over here in a hot minute and I thought a book haul would be a great way to get back to the book mood.

While I was vacationing in Orlando, FL me and my family decided to browse around the Dollar Three because we wanted to buy some snacks and there was one very close to our hotel. While browsing the store I found out that they also books and I have to admit, I went little crazy. I actually had 15 books in my little cart as me and my parents went in line to pay for our stuff. But, after my parents said I was crazy and that I would never be able to fit all of that in my suitcase, I only left the store with three. And here they are!

I'm not really sure what this one's about. I think it's about an actress or singer in the 20's and her life as she moves to Hollywood or something like that. The cover is what caught my attention because it was so colorful and I have to admit that I didn't even read the back cover before buying it. But I think I will enjoy it, I haven't read this one yet but I'm planning on doing so on Christmas Break.

I've actually started reading this one this morning since I didn't have class. I'm currently on page twenty (had to stop to write this post) and I'm really enjoying it. It's about a woman who is lost, she just got divorce and she doesn't really know what to do. I know it doesn't sound very appealing, but the author is super funny and I found myself actually laughing which is not something that happens very often when I'm reading.

I started this one when I was still in the US and it was such a quick read. It took me a week to finish it and I only read it at night before going to bed. I really enjoyed it. This is part of a series but I don't think you need to read the books in order, they just go together but one doesn't pick up where the other left off and I believe this is book number five. This one is about a girl and how she deals with the fact that her dad is running for president. It's a very quick and easy read and it's pretty short. I would recommend this for the younger crowds or for people like me who enjoy reading Contemporary Young Adult books.

These are all the book that I got in my trip. I don't usually do book hauls because, like most you already know, I do most of my reading on my Kindle and I don't think it's fun to do book hauls if I don't have the physical book to show you guys. I'm super curious to see what the other two books are about and see if I'm going to enjoy them or not. I hope I do. If you've read any of these books please let know on the comments if you enjoyed them or not so at least I know what to expect.

Thanks so much for reading and I'll see you soon.

Social Media is FAKE! WHAT?

I know this has been all the rage in social media recently because of Essena O'Neill and the fact that she said she was quitting social media, but last time I checked she still has her account on Instagram and now she has a website, which she uses to post content that it's not fake to her standards and to communicated with her "followers", "fans" or "supporters", whatever you wanna call it. To me this all just sounds ridiculous. She is still doing pretty much the same thing she did before but now instead of an Instagram account or a YouTube channel she has a website. Woooooow, now things are really taking a turn, right? NO.

My first thought when I saw people discussing this was: is that news to anybody? Seriously, are you telling me that someone out there still didn't know you could make money from social media or that you can edit your photos and put filters on them? Guys, in which year were you all born?

Of course people make money from social media and I honestly don't see anything wrong with that. I don't make money from it but if someone does, well, good for them. And I also think it's pretty awesome that we live in a world where anyone can put themselves out there and try to make a career out of YouTube and or something else. In my opinion that's not any different than what the Kardashians or anything else with a reality show does.

Another thing that really rubbed me the wrong way with her video was the fact that she was saying that all her pictures were fake because she "had to" (she's an adult and I don't think anyone forced her to do anything, but I could be wrong) stay 2 to 3 hours in a photo shoot to get a picture to promote a product she was paid to promote. Is that any different than what models do? They also spend hours and hours at photo shoots doing pretty much the same thing, taking pictures to promote products. And although this could be tiring and everything, it is a job... The only thing that I see wrong with it is the fact that she was trying to portrait those pictures like they were all "spontaneous" or "candid pictures of her at the beach" because I really don't think companies ask you to hide the fact that you're promoting something. Every time a company approached me they never told me to hide the fact that I was promoting a product or the company I was working with.

Guys, social media is just like everything else in life: it is what you make of it. Of course people are not gonna post pictures of themselves looking horrible and gross. I don't go in public looking horrible and gross so why would I put pictures looking like that on social media? It's true that social media gives us a platform where we can "edit" ourselves and only show certain aspects of our lives but that doesn't mean that everything is fake and that we should all go over to Instagram and close our accounts because it's the source of all evil.

But I also think that sometimes when social media becomes your job the lines can get a little blurry and it's hard not to get caught up in it. But so is fame, money, power and everything else that is addicting in life. The only thing that I kind of agree with her is the fact that she had enough and, apparently, decided to put a stop to it. But then again, if you're going to quit something just quit it, you know? No need to make that big a deal out of it and offend people out there who do the same thing as you.

I think this is all I wanted to say about this matter. I just wanted address this situation because I saw a lot of people talking about it on the internet and I just thought that it was a little ridiculous. I don't think social media should be the center of your life, not even if it's your job. But also think that when this is your job you are required to put some effort into it and stay on top of things. So I guess my message to Essena is: if social media was starting to overwhelm you, quitting was the way to go, just don't make a huge deal out of it and don't say that people who are currently doing the same thing that you did for a long time are fake and miserable.

I guess this is a big topic for discussion and everything has their opinions so if you think different please don't hate me. But I do want to know your opinions in a polite manner, it's ok to disagree and I want to know your thoughts.

What do you thing of the current social media dilemma?

HOW TO: Not Be A Makeup Hoarder.

By now everybody over here already knows I have an obsession with YouTube, specially when it comes to beauty videos - I'm seriously subscribed to 110 beauty channels (maybe even more). As of lately, I've been seeing a lot of makeup declutter, empties and whatnot on my subscription feed and the first thing that comes to my mind when I'm watching those videos is: How did these people acquire so much makeup?

I'm a beauty junkie myself and I get that some of the YouTubers get sent a lot of stuff, but it still baffles me. I mean, who has the space to store all of that? Definitely, not me. So given all that hype with declutter videos and whatnot, I decided to put together some tips to avoid hoarding so much makeup in your collection. I probably need only half of the stuff that I currently have on my collection but it's not even close to all of the things that I want. And I think the thing is to find a away to balance out the need and the want when it comes to makeup so you reach a happy balance.

There's also the question of letting your makeup go to waste. I hate the feeling of loosing money when I throw an almost full product out because it expired or because it started to smell funny. So, if you want to avoid all these things maybe my tips will help you out in that department!

DON'T BUY BACKUPS: In my opinion, buying backups is the easiest way to waste money and to hoard makeup. Most products come with way more  than we need and it usually takes us quite a while (I'm talking months and years..) to go though an entire thing, so why do we feel the need to buy backups? Chances are when you finish a product you'll be so tired of it that you won't even want to see its colors again and also, you can always go back to the store and get a new one or a very similar one when you're done with the original. There's absolutely no need to for you to buy a backup, even if it's a limited edition thing.. There will always be limited edition products for you to focus on. It takes years to finish an eye palette and months to finish a lipstick, do you really need backups?

BUY ONLY WHAT YOU KNOW YOU'LL USE: When you see products in store you feel like you need them all when in reality you don't. That's a fact and that's why companies spend so much money in marketing, packaging and product placement in stores. So make sure you keep that in mind when you see an amazing ad for a green lip gloss (MAC actually had a limited edition green lip gloss if I'm not mistaken) that looks really good on the model and think: How often would you use a green lip gloss? Does it go with the stuff that you already have? If you ask yourself these question I guarantee your gonna save a lot of money.

PASS ALONG OR SELL THINGS YOU KNOW YOU WON'T USE: This happens to me a lot.. I tend to hold on to products for no particular reason. On the top of my head I can think of two examples, my two orange lipsticks. I know they don't look good on me, I don't really don't like the formulas and their packaging is not even that cute. If you don't see yourself using that particular product in the near future there's absolutely no reason for you to keep it.
Having said that, I think the best option is for you to give it to a friend or sell it, that way you can get some money back so it wasn't a complete waste.

THROW AWAY EXPIRED STUFF: Products come with an expiration date for a reason, specially makeup products. It's something that has direct contact with your skin, mouth and eyes, so why would you risk an infection or something? Its best to just throw stuff and not try to push it so you can "get your money's worth" out of it.

DON'T OBSESS OVER THE PACKAGING: Don't keep products around just because you like the packaging and don't buy them just because of that either. This is the easiest way to create clutter and next thing you know you're being featured in the TV show "Hoarders" and I don't want that for you. If something is over, expired or you just don't like it, THROW IT AWAY. Don't keep it just 'cause.

GO FOR TRAVEL SIZE PRODUCTS: Trial size or smaller products in general. Every time I'm able to, I get the smaller size they have of a product. That way it's easier to use everything up before it expires, it's cheaper, it doesn't take up too much space in my collection and by the time I'm done with that particular product I've already made up my mind about it and if I want I can always go back and get another one.

FOCUS ON WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE: The best way to avoid hoarding makeup is to make sure you know everything you have in your collection, that's why I love "shopping my stash" videos. If you don't know what that is, it's basically going over your makeup collection frequently and picking out things you haven't used in a while. That way you avoid buying duplicates and you make sure everything you have is being used.

That's it for today, everyone! I hope these tips helped you somehow. I know that some of them are quite simple and pretty obvious but I still wanted to include them because I feel like sometimes we tend to ignore the obvious so it's good to be reminded of the little things like "don't buy stuff you won't use because it's basically throwing money away".

Do you have any tips to help us out?
