Monthly Empties | August, 2016.

Heello, everyone!

I hope you're all having a great day so far and if you're not I hope it get better. Today I'm here with another empties and you guys know the drill. I finished up 10 products in total and I'm a little sad because I only got two makeup product out this month and one of them is not even completely finished, it's one of those sad cases when the product just goes bad and there's nothing you can do about it. But still, 10 products it's not bad and since I've been trying really hard to declutter and downsize my beauty items, I'll take what I can get.

Let's get to the empties!

Dove Original Beauty Bar: Love this! I use this in the shower and to wash my face every morning before applying my moisturizer. It doesn't strip my face, it's super moisturizing and I love this original Dove scent. I've recently bought a 12 pack of these so expect many more in future empties.

Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Lip Gloss in I Want Candy: This is the one that got old before I could try to finish it and, to be honest, I think it was for the best. I'm not a big fan of lip glosses in general so I never reached for this one. I remember liking the formula and the pinky shade but the scent on these is super strong (too strong to be smelling it throughout the day). Having said that, I do believe VS reformulated their lip glosses and they even changed the packaging so things could be better now.

Pantene 3 Minute Miracle: This is part of a set that comes with three of these little tube. I'm not really sure on how to use it but I just mix a little bit of this with my regular conditioner for some added moisture and it works great for me. Don't think it was a game changer but it was pretty good.

Victoria's Secret Refreshing Body Mist in Romantic Wish: I'm actually a little sad to see this one go. I used to be obsessed with this scent in high school and now I feel a bit nostalgic every time I smell it in another person. As for the product, I'm a big fan of these fragrance mists from VS or BBW. I feel like they have a good staying power but the scent is not too strong and overpowering.
Local Boutique Concealer: This concealer was ok, not great but not bad either. It gave medium to light coverage and I really like the consistency. I'm not really sure where you can find it tough.. I know it's Brazilian brand but I'm not sure if they only sell in Rio or if it's all over the country but here is the link if you'd like to check it out.

Avon Renew Vitale Eye Cream: This made my eyes water like crazy and I could not apply it around the eye area. I used this more as a neck and face moisturize and it worked ok like that but I didn't notice any anti-aging effects. I wouldn't repurchase it.

Risqué Nail Polish in "Marshmallow de Alfazema": Risque is my favorite nail polish brand and this kind of blue is one of my favorite colors. I love how this stays in your nails for 3-4 days and the creamy consistency. I also think it's super affordable and high quality. I love this and I already have a backup.
Chapstick in Cherry: I'm not a big fan of chapstick but I got a 3-pack when I was in a pinch while traveling and I've been trying to use them up ever since. They're ok and I think there are much worse lip balms out there but this is nothing special and I'd rather spend my money on something that I love so I won't be repurchasing it. I still have one more to go so let's see how long it takes for me to finish it.

Fisiogel Hypoallergenic Body Lotion: I had major eczema all over my body a couple of months ago and I tried every moisturizer I could possibly get to see what works best for me. I really enjoyed this while I had it but I don't think it beats Cetaphil. This is a much lighter (kind of a gel but not really) formula and there wasn't any particular scent to it. I do think it moisturized my skin and I like the calming effect but I just prefer Cetaphil.

Nutraplus Cream: My dermatologist gave me a bunch of moisturizer samples and this was one of them. I like this but I still prefer Cetaphil. I think this is medicated or something so I would check with someone before purchasing it. But all in all, I liked it and I think it helped with the eczema.

Those are all the products that I finished in August. I hope you enjoyed the mini reviews and because I certainly enjoyed writing them. Empties posts are my favorite because every month I get to see what I'm actually using and what worked and didn't work for me. It just makes me a more conscious shopper which is great because I've been trying out a more minimalist lifestyle.

Thanks so much for reading and I'll talk to you soon!
