8 Things I'm Still Looking Forward To In 2017.


Heeeello, everyone!


I don't know about you, but as soon as September hits (or maybe even sooner) I start to get unmotivated. I start feeling like the year is almost over and like there's not much time left to accomplish my goals, which now that I'm actually writing it sounds very stupid. Anyway, I decided it'd be fun to write down all the tings I'm still looking forward to accomplishing or experiencing in 2017. The year is not over, guys! We still have four months ahead of us, which is plenty of time to do almost anything. You still can get into shape, travel, find a job or go snorkeling. 

Make an appointment, call the snorkeling guy or join a gym - just do something. Usually, the hardest thing to do is that first action like picking up the phone and calling to schedule an appointment at the gym. When you smash that initial barrier to the ground, things become easier.

TRAVELING // As you can imagine, this is by far what I'm most excited about. I have big traveling for the end of the year.. I'm just not completely set on where to go. One of my best friends just moved to NYC and I have two other friends living in London. I've been to both cities and I love them so much, so it's super hard to decide. I could try to fly to both places, since I won't be paying for hotels, I just don't know if I'll have the time to do that. I'll definitely keep you guys updated and please let me know where do you think I should go!

REDESIGNING THE BLOG // I don't know if you've noticed it, but I've been experimenting here and there with the blog design - I even got a new header up! I like it how it is now, but I still want to changes things up more. I want it less girlie and more modern. I have no idea what to do though, so if you have any suggestions leave them in the comments. 

SMASHING MY READING CHALLENGE // Every year since 2014 I smash my GoodReads challenge (you can check it out over here). Around July my life got a little crazy and my stress levels were out of control, so I lowered my goal from 70 books to 50 books. But, I'm coming back strong! I've been reading like crazy and I think I'll even be able to hit 70 books. I'm really trying. I don't know why this is so important to me, but it really is. 

CHRISTMAS // I'm one of those people that starts getting excited about Christmas right after Halloween. I actually listen to Christmas songs and watch Christmas movies all year round because they make me feel better after a long day, ok? Don't judge me!  I just can't help it. I love everything about the holidays - the food, all that family time, the fact that everyone tries to get along. I think I'm even going to try doing Blogmas this year! I'm super excited!   

GETTING IN SHAPE // I know this is everyone's goals every single year, but I really tried to take this seriously this year. I've been going to the gym pretty frequently and I've been trying to not go crazy with the brownies and nachos. I swear, if I could only eat one type of food for the rest of my life it would be Mexican. I also started the year pretty strong with the yoga, but I've kinda been neglecting it for the past few months. I really want to get back to it, maybe I'll look for a yoga studio nearby. 

VOLUNTEERING // If you've been reading the blog for a while, you know that I've been volunteering at my local church every Friday night. I teach English for a group of very nice ladies. Although I really love it, I've been wanting to do something more.. like maybe volunteering at a shelter or a daycare center for kids. I'm still not sure what to do, but I'm going to church on Friday for the class and I'll make sure to ask at the reception if they know about anything.

MEDITATING // Creating the habit of meditating every morning was one of 2017 Resolutions and I still haven't done it. I thought it would be an easy thing to do, but I always forget to do it and when I remember it I'm usually doing something and then it vanishes from my mind all over again. But, no excuses anymore. If it's in the blog, there's no turning back now.

DECLUTTERING // This might sound weird to some of you, but I actually love decluttering. There's something kind of therapeutic about it and it literally makes me feel like a new and improved person. I did my clothes and shoes a couple of days ago, I actually share the whole process on my IG stories. I still need to do my bags, makeup and random crap.. Even though I declutter pretty often, I still have a lot of random crap everywhere. 
  

Those are all the things that are keeping me excited for the rest of the year. I know some of them might sound silly to some of you, but hey.. we need to get excited about the small things too! I wanted to start the Everyday September challenge in a positive way and I hope I got you excited for the next months ahead. If you had a bad year so far, you can still turn things around. I know life throws some pretty hard stuff at us sometimes, but remember that the most important thing when it comes to dealing with challenges is our attitude towards them.
