BLOGTOBER // Book Haul // October, 2017.

"But Michele.." you might say, "what about your no-buy?!" Well, we all knew it was not going to last so... No, I actually started out with the best intentions, and I wanted to include everything in that no-buy. However, the main focus of it was clothes, makeup and beauty related stuff in general. I know I should cut back on buying books, specially because I haven't been reading as much as I used to, but I just can't help it. If there's a sale, I'm going to take advantage of it.

What I did do in this case was limite myself to different genres. I already have a ton of YA romance to get to and I truly don't need anymore books in that genre. But it's October and I wanted some scary books to read during the Spookathon. I know I shouldn't have bought anything, but I wanted to so I did - that's exactly what happened here. You can never have too many books, right?! Anyway, about the books... I only bought books I've never heard of, but that seemed interesting - with one exception. I was literally typing in the titles of these books on Goodreads to check the ratings and some of the reviews as I was buying them. I wanted something different from I'm used to and I think I did a pretty good job at spicing things up for Halloween - some of these books seem very scary. So, let's get to it!
Beware That Girl - Teresa Toten // I've been eyeing this book for awhile and since it was October and all I decided to just go ahead and buy it. I read the first few pages and it did not disappoint. This is book is about the new girl in an elite private. Apparently, she's trying to "climb the social ladder" and someone poses a danger to her plans. The cover and the title are super spooky, I have high hopes for it!

A Murder In Time - Julie McElwain // I bought this thinking it would be something like a historical romance, but I was really far off. This is basically about a FBI agent, something goes wrong and her team gets killed and now she wants revenge. I'm a little disappointed because that doesn't look like something I might enjoy, but now I have it and I will read it.

The Witches Of New York - Amy McKay // This one was totally a cover/title buy. It sounded so interesting that I just had to get it. I've never read anything like it, but the reviews were pretty positive. The rating isn't very high, but it's good enough. I'm really excited to read this one.

The Cutting Season - Attica Locke // I really don't know what to expect from this one.  It's like GoodReads says one thing and the reviews say another. The title caught me, the price was good and I decided to give it a go. The reviews are ok, I think I'll just have to read it and see for myself.

Good Me Bad Me - Ali Land // I was looking for a new psychological suspense and I decided to give this one a try. This is Ali Land's debut novel. I don't like reading debut novels because when I really like a book I want to read everything from that author, so you can see how that can be a problem with a debut author. However, this book sounds really good. It's about this girl whose mother is a serial killer and I'm sooo here for it!

Those are all the books I bought and am planning on buying this month. That's it, I promise! If you were inspired by my no-buy, please don't let this haul discourage you. I'm still following my no-buy for everything else, like I said - no new clothes, shoes or makeup. But honestly, I don't feel that bad about "breaking"the no-buy, I got some pretty good books at a good price and I will read all of them - eventually. You just gotta do what feels right to you.

What are you currently reading?
Are you joining the spookathon?

Thanks so much for reading and I'll talk to you soon!
