Haulternative // October Haul // What I Bought This Month.

Heeello, everyone!

This is going to be part two of my previous haulternative post. On that one I shared with you everything I was getting out and in this one I'm sharing that is going in. All the clothes, makeup and other products I bought this month. This is just me trying to be more mindful when it comes to shopping. Ever since I started blogging, I found myself buying a lot of stuff. Beauty products I didn't even need or just doing mindless shopping. Finding out about minimalism and decluttering has been helping me a lot of with trying to be more mindful of the things I'm spending my money on and that I'm bringing into my home.

I went around my house and I even checked my bank app on my phone so I could be as accurate as possible with this post. However, this will not include groceries, cleaning supplies or money I spent eating out. This is just the actual products and stuff I brought into my house. The goal is to do this monthly from now on but we'll see how things go! I only bought one makeup item and two items of clothes this month, so I would consider October a success. Let's see what else I bought!

NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade in Chocolate // My little elf brow compact is finally over and I wanted to try something new. I've seen a lot of people on youtube and beauty bloggers talking about it so I decided to check it for myself. I tried it on at the store to make sure it would work for me and that the color match was perfect. I've been using it everyday since I got it and I would highly recommend trying it out if you're in the market for brow products.

Coconut Oil // I've talked about this before, but I use coconut oil for everything. If you don't believe me you can check out this post right here. This time I bought it because I was running low on deodorant and the main ingredient of my homemade deodorant is coconut oil, so I kinda had to get it.
C&A Jeans // I know C&A is pretty big in Europe, but here in Brazil it kinda has a reputation for cheap/not cool clothes. I went in to get underwear (because it's cheap) and I saw they were having a sale so I decided to browse around. The sale was insane and I bought these jeans for R$ 40 reais, which is basically US$ 10 dollars.. which is incredibly cheap for Brazilian standards. They're not the best fit, but I've been wanting (not needing) a pair of light wash jeans and I decided to just get these.

Super Cool Marble Shirt // Never go inside of a Forever21 "just to look" because I guarantee you will leave the store with at least one unplanned purchase. I made the mistake of browsing around while killing time before an appointment and I bought this shirt. Do I need it? No. Is it super cool? Yes. Will I wear it? Probably. I have no excuse for buying it, I just thought it looked cool and I wanted it. This is the only purchase I kinda regret but not really because I will eventually wear it and it wasn't that expanse. But just for the record, this is the kind of purchase I'm trying to completely eliminate from my life since this is not an item I loved or needed.
Two Books // Guys, I'm soooo proud of myself. If you've been here for awhile, you know books are my soft spot. I'm totally an emotional shopper (love me some retail therapy) and I go crazy on my kindle whenever I have a bad day or something. I'm actually proud because I bought these books after reading about them and asking friends if they had a copy to lend me - I don't have a library near me. I'm super excited to read them and I already started on The Hobbit, so yay me!
Fake Birkenstocks // I've been wanting these for a very long time so when another pair of shoes basically disintegrated on me I ran to the store to buy these. And guys, best purchase ever. I'm in love. If you've been keeping up with my IG stories, you know I've been wearing these non-stop. It just goes with every outfit and it's comfortable!
And that's all I bought this month, guys! Like I said before, I did buy food, I went out for drinks with friends and I bought some wine for the house too. These are just the physical items that I'm bringing into my closet of my makeup "collection". I think this is going to be a great way for me to stay on top of my finances and just stay minimal. I don't want to feel overwhelmed by clothes and stuff ever again. Minimalism takes work and honestly guys, it's a daily struggle. Because of the neighborhood I live in, I always find myself inside of a shopping mall - even if I'm just running errands or going to the bank. It's hard but I think I did ok this month. I'll keep you guys posted!

What did you buy last month?
Are you trying to cut back on shopping too?

Let's hang some more!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll talk to you soon!

ps: I also bought Taylor Swift's new album because it's Taylor Swift and I just had to. Ok, bye. I'm going to listen to Reputation for the rest of the day now!
