My New Blogging Strategy.

Heeello, everyone!

Today we're going to talk about a topic that's very new to me. I've never had a "blogging strategy", I just posted whenever motivation stroked but now that I'm trying to up my blogging game I feel like trying something new and I thought why not share it on the blog since this is going to be more of an experiment than anything else.

As you can imagine, I have no idea what I'm doing. All of this is going to be based on trial and error, so you can expect many more "blogging strategy updates". This first post is just a starting point. All the points that I'm going to be talking about here are based on my personal experience as a blogger. I looked back on my "journey" as a blogger and I tried to think about the mistakes I made and also the things (I think) I did right. So, here we are! If you're a marketing professional or if you work with bloggers or something along those lines, please don't laugh at me. I know I need help. But, let's do this!
Up My Social Media Game // Social media is one of the most challenging aspects of blogging to me because, again, I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing. My life is not "instragramable", I don't have a white room, with white marble and I don't drink boxed water or go to Starbucks every morning. I'm normal: I wake up, I work, I do laundry and if I'm not leaving the house that day I pretty much stay in my pjs. And also, I'm ok with that. However, I don't feel like Instagram is. I also don't feel like I have enough pictures to daily post. I don't know, guys. I know I'm sounding like a Debby Downer but it's just how I feel sometimes. I need to take Instagram 101 For Bloggers because I need some help.
Post More Frequently // I spent two months (Everyday September and Blogtober) posting every single day and my views have never been higher, which makes a lot of sense to me. I see a lot of people giving blog advice and saying that you shouldn't post everyday... I don't know, it makes you think how accurate some of those advice posts are. My main advice: always try things out for yourself when it comes to your blog. So, posting really often (the goal is everyday but you know how life is a bitch sometimes) is the main goal. But also posting good content, content I'm proud of.. Not just posting for the sake of posting.
Collab With Other Bloggers // I've been talking about collaborating with other bloggers for years now but I never got around to it. It's just that I never have good collab ideas, so if you're interested in a collab, let me know and we can work something out. I think this is a good way to not only connect with other bloggers and have some fun, but it can also help both parties. It's going to attract more views and introduce my readers to new bloggers that I love. Win, win!

Revamp Old Posts // I got this idea from Pinterest and I don't know why I haven't thought about this earlier. I've been blogging for four years so I have a ton of old content that I'm not particularly proud of (oooh, the typos and gramma mistakes!) but that has a lot of potential. Like cool post ideas, travel diaries and even some old life updates. I tried doing this a couple of months ago and I even got some posts updated (like this one and this one) but it was just too much work and I had a lot of other things going on so I decided to take a break. During the holidays I always manage to take some time off, so I really want to focus on doing that!

Create Better Content // It's not that I'm not happy with the content I'm creating, this is just more of a guideline. I will always strive for better content and try to find ways to improve my blog - 'cause if I'm not, what's even the point of doing something, right? But what I think I really need to work on is my photographing skills. I have no skills in that area whatsoever, but I'm trying. The goal until the end of the year is to up my photo game.

This is everything I'm planning on doing to grow my blog - at least until the end of the year. Honestly, guys, I have no idea what I'm doing. This "strategy" is based on the things I've learned through years of blogging and a lot of time spent on Pinterest reading articles and other blogposts about this topic. I don't even know if you really need a blogging strategy but it doesn't hurt to try, right? If you have any advice to share about this, let's start a conversation on the comments. I could really use some help!

Do you think it's important to have a blogging strategy?

Let's hang some more!

Thanks so much for reading and come back soon!
