Getting Ready For The New Year.

Heeeello, everyone!

I'm writing this post today and I'm also publishing it today because inspiration struck just now. Yesterday was my birthday and, to be honest, I only set foot inside my house to take a shower and get ready and then I was out the door again. As a self-diagnosed introvert, I need time to regroup by myself - a time to literally do nothing and shut down my brain for a bit. I usually do that by watching my favorite youtubers or reading, if you've been here for awhile you know that I do a lot of reading. However, these past few days I haven't had the time to do that.

Like I said on my last life update, my life has been pretty good. I've been doing a lot of fun stuff with my friends and staying busy, which is awesome. And I'm not really complaining, I just feel like I haven't had time for myself. Time to chill, to catch up on my reading and to organize my space. I need some quality time by myself to recharge and get ready for the new year and that's exactly what I plan on doing today.

Today I woke up at 07:30, I took my time making my morning coffee and getting it just right and I did some meditation. I went back to some of my Daily Mantras posts and I picked a few that seemed appropriate for today and I focused on that. I also prayed and I finished off my morning with some yoga moves and a bit of stretching and let me tell you.. it was just what I needed. I thought about getting on with my day, but I opened up my computer and I just felt like talking to you guys about it.
I want this day to be chilled, but I also want to get a couple of things done. I have some blogging stuff I need to do, like emails and social media. I also want to declutter my items for the Minimalism Game and maybe get a jump start on the next few days. I plan on cleaning and organizing my room, which I'm honestly excited about. I need to figure out my New Year's outfit and get it pressed. I want to work out. And, last but not least, I'm carving out 2 hours at the end of the day to read my book. I miss reading so much and I'm loving the book I'm currently reading - if you want to keep up with my reading, you can always follow me on GoodReads.

So, aside from writing and publishing this post, that's what I plan on doing today. If everything works out and I have time to spare, I also want to do some planning for 2018. Like, really think about what I want to accomplish, maybe plan out a few blog posts for January and things like that. Oh, I also need to buy a 2018 planner now that I'm thinking about it. I guess that's it!

Hopefully, me sharing how I'm feeling today and what I'm doing will inspire some of you to get some "me time" to work on yourselves and just do whatever it is you enjoy doing. Take the day off, organize your life and do something you love. The world won't stop turning if you take a day off when you feel overwhelmed!

How are you spending the last day of 2017?
What are you doing on New Years Eve?

Let's chat!

Thanks so much for supporting the blog and
have a wonderful New Years's Eve!
